MF Global has a unique “team” oriented approach to servicing customers. After execution, trades are keyed on the trading floors, directly into MF Global’s back office system - GMI. This allows MF Global to meet or exceed all Exchange time requirements for trade input. MF Global employs a diversified approach to insuring trade accuracy. Once trades are keyed, batch reports of those trades are produced and checked against the actual trade ticket for accuracy. Additionally, preliminary reports are produced and available to the customer for their own check out procedure. Trade entry is checked and rechecked at MF Global to ensure accurate accounting and clean statements.
At MF Global, customer service is our operation’s middle office - coordinating between the execution and clearing. This group sits near the brokers and is in tune with everything that the brokers are doing. The group serves as the bridge that links the floor with your back office personnel, thus bringing it all together as one big unit. Operations staff are at the desk from 6:30 AM until all customers have been checked out at the end of the day. The middle office serves as a conduit to our back office, which includes: operations, risk, margins, and information technology. Of course, all of these services are also available to you directly if you choose.
This department offers a centralized location for service administrative requests including
- Resolution of trade discrepancies before the open of the markets
- Duplicate statements and transmissions
- Research of historical trade information
